Lawrenceville Housing Authority
Manages 212 Public Housing Units within City of
Lawrenceville
The Housing Authority of the City of Lawrenceville (LHA) was established on May 8, 1950 and was funded through the Housing Act of 1937 for the purpose of providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing to the low-income citizens of Lawrenceville and the surrounding areas.

Since its establishment, LHA has developed 9 housing sites with a total of 212 public housing units. The Authority's operating fund consists of rental income and federal subsidies from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Most residents served by the Housing Authority are elderly and working families.

LHA is designated as a "high performing agency" by HUD and is committed to serving all of our residents, participants, and the public in a manner consistent with the principles of respect, fairness, and equity.

Lawrenceville Housing Corporation
Manages the Welcome Home and Pathway Home Programs
The Lawrenceville Housing Corporation (LHC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded for the purpose of developing, rehabilitating, managing, and operating quality, affordable residential housing in Gwinnett County.

LHC manages two programs:
  • Welcome Home Program is our homeownership program that offers fully rehabilitated homes and mortgage assistance to eligible low- to moderate-income home buyers
  • Pathway Home Program is our supportive housing program that, through the partnership with Family Promise of Gwinnett, offers affordable rental options for families with children in Gwinnett County without a stable home
