The Lawrenceville Housing Authority provides a variety of services with support from our community partners to our residents with the ultimate goal of promoting self-sufficiency.
In partnership with The Brand Bank, residents can participate in a free 3-month financial education course. The course covers a wide range of financial topics including basic money management, payments, credit, debt management, and homeownership. Participants who complete both the in-person training and the online learning modules receive a Certificate of Completion from The Brand Bank.
Partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrenceville
LHA has had a long standing relationship with the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrenceville and provides opportunities for our residents age 6-18 to attend the club both during the school year and during the summer. For more information on the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrenceville, click here.
Sista's Circle, Inc
Sista's Circle positively transforms the lives of families by focusing on empowerment, education, support, and community involvement. Sista's Circle has three programs: Young Strong Sistas (YSS), Women on the Grow (WOG), and Save our Seniors Project (SOS). LHA residents have been benefiting from the Save our Seniors Project for many years, which involves our senior residents receiving food, cleaning supplies, and personal care items every month from volunteers. Sista's Circle also sponsors many events for our residents, and at times transports our seniors to community events. "Tools for School" Back to School Event
This August, LHA held its first "Tools for School" event for back to school supplies for our residents. With incredible support from Infiniti of Gwinnett, the Boy Scout Troop #563, and the Lion's Club, we were able to provide LHA children with over 90 new back packs with school supplies including crayons, markers, loose leaf paper, notebooks, binders, scissors, glue sticks, pencils, and pencil cases.
